Cold start valve. Which are compatible???

As the title says, are any other csv's compatible with my 83 GTI?

Hi jellybelly, have a leaky csv so i am going to replace it. The replacement is around ?75 new but i have come across a new one for an audi 80 with a DZ engine code for a fraction of the price and wondered if it was compatible???

i have no idea and haven't seen anyone who has done it

i looked into it alot as i had a hot start issue a while ago

DZ engine is also K-Jet (Audi 80 application) so its fine to use. In fact, any K-Jet or KE-Jet engines should be okay. AFAIK Digifant and later engines (1987 onwards for certain models) didn't use a 5th injector, they used the main 4 injectors to supply a bit more fuel for startup. I imagine any other K-Jet car, eg Mercedes, Ford, Saab, Volvo, etc etc of the era will have a similar valve too.

yeah as above pretty much any k-jet one will do you, digifant didnt have them. well, except for 2.0 8b mk3s, but it wont work on a k-jet as fuel fitting is different.

some of the jet sizes are different, i wouldnt have thought it would make that much difference though.
