carb to injection

hi im changing my driver to a 1.8t but not sure about the electriacl side of the fuel, like the relay?etc, any advice would be great.thanks

the ecu will have some kind of fuel pump relay control, wire this to a relay then wire the relay to your desired fuel pump. if in doubt a MK1 GTI pump will be man enough, or I recon a MK3 Polo G40 pump & lines setup will do and more likly to be in good nick as lines are all plastic.  Polo GT setup is the same too :)

im wondering about the lifter pump? the original had two pins but mine has three now as im using a efi pimp?do i use a mk4 fuel relay also?thanks

the original was just a fuel level sensor, the replacement also has a lift pump. what you need to do is wire the lift pump inline with the main pump. any fuel relay will do, just needs to wire it to the trigger signal from the engine ECU. generally VAG models use an earth trigger, not 100% sure on the MK4 but I could find out if you get me the engine code as I'll be able to print out the ecu wiring diagrams from elsawin :)

what number relay is the fuel pump relay?shall i use a mk4 one or mk1?

what fusebox are you using, and whats the engine code? also oem mangement or aftermarket?

using the driver fuse box, agu engine and qpeng management, what you think?its ready to go just cant work this bit out!

right, is it the early fusebox with ceramic/glass fuses, or the later one with blade fuses?
