Carb problem?

I have a MK1 1800cc 1991 auto Clipper, and the car suffers from fluctuating revs which i believe is a common fault. i have been informed that the original carburettor is the problem and that their is an after market webber conversion kit which can solve the problem. can anyone advise on where i would be able to obtain the correct kit.
