Carb area fuel line sizes??

Looking to replace some damaged fuel lines around the carb area on 1988 cabriolet.(fuel return to tank pipe etc)

anybody know what size vw used for internal diameter ,,,imperial or metric???

The used 8mm OD metal pipe, so 8mm ID rubber hoses
