car starts somtimes then wont other times!!!

hi there all hope you can help,the car somtimes starts 1st turn then other times it takes ages turning over and over and over then like a switch gets turned on it fires i thought it mite be electrical but ive checked and theres a good spark! the fuel pump is making a noise and i cracked the nut on the fuel filter and turned it over and fuel is geting to it,wat shall i do?shall i clean the kjet system out?
any help would be much appreciated

hey, i have the same problem as this.. ive been told its to do with somethink under the disterburtion cap, either a washers gone or a valve needs cleaning..  its only simple.. but its finding exactly what it is.. i havent really had the time to look at it yet..

basicly its like the fuel is slipping back, so the car wont start..


this has probly been no use to you at all.. but its all i no.. if u do find out more and you could help me out would be awesome

i don't think he means the distributor???

I think he means the fuel distributor which is the correct name for what most now call the metering head.
