Cabby fuel problem's

Hey all,
Got a GTi Cab with a painfull fuel problem…

Basically it used to cut out or not start at all, the relay work's fine, the petrol pump works fine but inbetween them two there's a problem which we cannot find!??

Tried the relay on another mk1, no problem. Hooked the pump up to a battery and feed it some fuel and it spat it straight through. So somewhere inbetween the two part's is something giving us hassle  

Any idea's?

We looked in the hayne's manual and they mentioned a fuel kill switch of some sort but we can't find it.

How do you no its the fuel system ? Is the ignition side good ?

Yeah it's sparking and you can hear the relay clicking like mad, must be something between the relay and petrol pump.

Because, as mentioned, the pump work's when connecting it soley to a battery. And the relay work's as we placed it into another mk1  :dontknow:

have you checked the fuse for the fuel pump?  tis listed in the fusebox sticky. if the wiring to the wur is shorted out this will keep blowing the fuse as it runs from the same feed as the pump
