It will fit but it will have baffles inside it and an outlet on the side for the injection fuel pump. So you'd need to block this up. Also unsure if the baffles would get in the way of your 1.1's fuel pick up. Why fit a GTI tank when you can simply buy a non-GTI tank which is correct for the car?
