when I got the car it went nowhere and the only place I could find is there!
I do have a whole hoast of running issues so I won't be too suprised if it's wrong!

All I know is I still have a hesitation/miss that just wont go away..but is not always there

are you sure? my mpg guage is not connected to the dizzy, its connected to a t-piece near the inlet manifold.

As far as I know the vacuum for the distributor should go to the back of the throttle valve, the hole you've got that was taped up should be a spout with a blank on it, it's been broken off. Just put some 'Leakfix' in it, the car won't run properly with that hole there.
Many thanks - spent a good hour or so searching the forum and finally found some pics but still alot of research and work to be done!
