16v metering head on a 8v engine????

I've bought a mk1 with a 2.0l tall block (9a?), and dx head. It's got a cam, ported and polished head, k&n and a ashley 4-1 manifold.
The guy I bought it off said It'd be a bit better with a 16v metering head. Is this right?

9A is the 16V

will have engine code on front of block.

Dont see why 16V metering head should be better, you want the metering head to match whatever injectors your runnign really, I've been told that mk1 m/h gives more fuel than the 16v one anyway…

I'm running mk1 1.8 metering head on my 9A 16V, with the 9A injectors.

you can run any of them really its the shape of the cone and airlow around the flap that is different get hold of a bosch k jet manual from demon tweaks that will help you , you can mess with the fueling through out the rev range by re shimming the fuel pressure regulator but you need a high pressure gauge ive seen j ket pressure testing kits on evil bay ,  when i built my 2.0 tall block mk1 jetta i played a round with fueling on a rolling road where i used to work and to get the fueling right all the way across the rev range i had to adjust the fuel pressure by +8psi  :?

if the sumps not dented its not low enough

i think they just say the 16v unit is capable of more bhp when u tune it can't see it would make much difference on a 2.0l 8v ours is running the standard 1.8 metering unit.
