1.6 Metering Head

Can anyone tell me if a 1.8 metering head is a straight swap for a 1.6.

I have a friend who has a 1.6 with fuel injection fault, apparently the car is over fuelling?  Want to know if i can try my spare 1.8 meterinf head on the car??

yes, but i'd be surprised if that's overfuelling. tried the co i take it?

No he's not go the car yet!  Just bought it with the seller saying its over fueling and running rough so just trying to get some ideas for when it arrives.  Good point about the CO though, will be the first thing that is checked!
