1.6 k jet metering head for loan of pref in Fife

Hi folks,

I am having a problem getting my mk1 up and running and think it may be something to do with the metering head distribution block not being used for so long. I have been told that its not unheard of for unleaded fuel to cause problems if any is left in it when taken off the car, I dont know, all I know is mines is getting fuel past the filter but not out the block. I am looking for a load of one from a VAG friend….grovel…grovel….to see if this is the problem. The entire fuel system has been refurbished or replaced and is clean so no rust or anything gonna go through it. Would be happy to give a deposit and a few ales.

Prime the fuel system, worth a go.

You can normally do this by manually lifting the metering head flap while the engine is turning over.
