1.3 Exhaust suggestions!

Hi guys and gals,

I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust for my '83 1.3. I'm after something low and gruberly but not 'chavy'. Nothing stupidly loud but, (well can be quite loud).

I'm not sure what to look for, for what makes an exhaust sound tastey and not chavy. So any help is welcome!

Is it possible to reach such a sound from only a 1.3?

On a side not, one of my friends cut the back box of his civic, and welded a straight pipe on instead aha. Has anyone done this? It sounds niceeee but it's crazy loud!
