1.3 carb fuel issues.

Hello my new Golf buddies.
I have had a few Gti models and now have a carb model. For the life of me I cant get any fuel into the engine bay.
Ive removed/changed filters, fuel lines, cleaned the tank, jetted the carb and still nothing.
Please help!!!!!!

Have you changed the fuel pump on the front of the engine?

Also check the pickup is not blocked in the tank

Thanks for your reply.
Been out this morning and had the pump pressure tested, it passed with flying colours unfortunately.    
I have whipped off rocker cover and the pump wheel on the shaft looks quite badly scored. Would anyone think this would stop it from working?
