1.1 c formel E fuel pump HELP !!!

hope some one can help me with this

problem is few weeks ago the mk1 died while son was coming home from work (daily drive)
towed home ,carb empty no petrol, End of the fuel pump has broken off (removed the bits from inside rocker cover.

Got a new one from vw heritage ,fitted ran for like 30 secs,then loads of petrol pumped fron carb breather into carb flooding it (LIKE pump pressure too much ?)
fitted a new carb needle valve like told could be struggling to close with newer pump pressure

Ran for few mins then pumping fuel out againfrom breather, then nothing from new pump , even tried off the car with pipes in a bottle of petrol ,nothing coming out & can blow down both ends seems like the valves not closing inside ,only thing is its a sealed pump

Got another fuel pump from VW Heritage & a return for faulty one ,Same again ran for min or so then No fuel (pump failed)

all pipes to tank are clear

Has any one an original pump i can buy ? or a new carb ?
son needs car to get to work so this is becoming hard to have of the road

any help apprecated no garages want to help round here

also it's a mechanical pump by the way & a gg engine code, the pumps I got are sealed unlike genuine ones so can't look inside & were only £13 so maybe cheapish bit should last more than 2mins

Before taking mine off the road I suspected my old pump was buggered because I had a hot start problem. The new one has been fine so far.

It's like they say, buy cheap buy twice!

or has anybody got an old original fuel pump that's failed I could rob the internal parts from?? it's the shaft that runs from the cam that snapped on mine 

all sorted finally after 2 pumps & a carb service kit, which didn't need, got hold of a Peirburg fuel pump from GSF, fitted, works like a dream 
other 2 were too much pressure & failed after few minutes,
