'C' shape exhaust clamps

Hi, can anyone tell me an easy method of re-fitting the 'C' shape clamps that join the exhaust manifold to the down pipe on a 92 clipper? i just can't get them back on!!!

I've heard you can use a standard U exhaust clamp in reverse?

Any generous exhaust fitting place will let you have one for free!

Put the nuts before the bar and loosening the nuts will push out the bar.

Use a standard exhaust clamp (you can get loads of different sizes)

I bent the edges on the bar so that it was straight. Then flip it over.  Move the nuts to the underside of the bar - not the top as pictured and then loosen the nuts. This pushes the bar away from the end of the clamp and prises apart the c clamp.
