Wipers only work on fast..??

Hi,

I have a 1982 Mk1 GTI which has had a few electrical issues. All seems to be sorted now with the exception of the windscreen wipers which only work on the fast setting and don't park.

One click down = nothing
One click up = nothing
Two clicks up = working but don't park

From other posts I thought this was most likely to be the wiper relay but after sticking a new one in from GSF it is still exactly the same.

Help!….

Check the stalk as the power to the park comes from there.
