where to get ignition feed from?

okay so i have a rather complex stereo set-up, could just wire a switch in but i'm useless and i'll forget and kill the battery so figured i'd take an ignition feed from somewhere


where's everyone else taken them from?

also none of the dash lights are working (apart form the clocks, they're fine) any ideas? (i haven't had time to check with the multimeter yet lol)

cal - there are switched and unswitched 12v taps on the back of the fuse box.

Dash lihgts are most likely a dodgy headlamp switch dimmer control or burnt out wiring :?
