Whats this for?

I've got a 92 Sportline.

I've found this loose connection in the engine bay-



I know its a long shot, but does anyone know what it is for. The wires go into the top part of the bulk head (N/S under the windscreen) - like so



I cant find the wires inside the car, even though the pic shows them going into the passenger area of the car.

looks like the wire for the heated washer jet but may be wrong
