Whats this and were does it go

Hi just started to clean the engine bay and found this near the oil cooler two questions 1 what is it and 2 were does it fit into as I unable to find a socket near by.

MFA outside temp sender. Fits in a bracket inside front bumper drivers side.

yep as above, it the temp sensor. It doesn't 'plug' into anything it just clips into the bumper support on the left hand side as you look at the car front on.
If you cant find were it goes, anywhere behind the bumper is good enough as long as its out of the wind etc so it can give a better reading of external temp

you could be right there MFA temp reads -30 all the time

I got one of those floating about too and a -30 reading
