What does this wire do?

What is yellow/white wire, I have one connected to the top of the fuse box, the other is dangling and looks like it should be connected to spade plug next to the other. Please help…has it got anything to do with side lights, as my n's side light doesnt work!! For pics see:

On the later S2 fuse box white/yellow is fog lights. Use a multimeter to see if it gets +12v when turn turn the fogs on.
