What a fud I am!! S1 relay photo please

Hi,

took out the relays from the back of the fuse box to clean the connectors and cant find the diagram I had drawn to show where they go back!!! Doooooouh.

I have had a look on here but cant see any diagrams or photos for a S1 bullet fuse type fuse box.

Could anybody please send a diagram or photograph of one with the relays in the correct place. There are a couple that could go in a few places

Would be appreciated.

Haynes manual has been put in the bin……..useless….again!

looks differnent, mines does nt have the block with the 3 wires. Mines a GTI, is yours?

do you mean the plug with chunky red wire,black red wire,black wire and brown wire?
that the wiring to the fuel pump relay which is the one top right hand of the pic with the blue inline fuse in it

yeah, mines must just be wird in different, fuel pump has a relay with a fuse on top of it.

Go to the electrical section on the forum.
First post on there is the fuse/relay locations on the fusebox.
Go have a look see.
Should help you out also.

pic above has the vw recall fuel pump relay relocation kit fitted, this was needed because the s1 fusebox has a tendency to burn out the fuel pump pin

Is this kit still available from anywhere?  It would be better than what I have.  Mine has another bodge to fix the burnt out pin, where a line is run from the relay itself to where the burnt out pin was.

its 171 971 761 B but deleted back in 2001
