VDO Senders Again!

I have just fitted Audi VDO gauges to my 89 Cab.

I have taken the lighting circuit from the cigar lighter and all works fine and they dim.

I have wired the voltmeter to direct to the battery and it works fine.

I have replaced the oil pressure sensor in the front of the oil filter housing with an Audi unit and that guage works OK.

No which one is the temp sender for the MFA, is it the one at the back of the oil filter housing or is it the one on the end of the head on the right hand side as you look at the engine.

I understand that I need a new sender as the Audi gauges are different to the MFA……where would I get one of these blue senders?

Also my MFA has stopped working since disconnecting and reconnecting the wires on these 2 senders

Help would be appreciated.

mfa oil temp is the small one with the white colar, the blue sensor you buy from Audi, its cheap

Im after the sender too if anyone knows where to get them.

i got both oil pressure and oil tempereture sensors from my local vw dealer. just ask them to look up part numbers for sensors for audi gauges. they were not cheap though especially the pressure sender. try googling machine7 they sell them also.

Have just ordered the correct oil temp sender for my guages from Audi (blue top)

Part number is 049919563B
