vdo gauges help wiring up please

i havge got volt meter oil pressure (in bar) and temp gauges
wired the volt up and got all the positive and negitives wired up to the other two, just need to know where the other ones got to the sensors?
the oil pressure one i wired up to a sender thats in the back of  my head, and it workd but went of the clock (clock goes to 5bar) the water temp i dont know what sensor to wire it to as the temp sensors i have have 2 wires coming out of them, is the temp for water temp or oil temp

i have two senders that come out of the top of the block at the back towards the carb.

the engine is a mk2 1300 hk that has been put into a mk1

Simon have you a Mk2 manual you could look at ? As the engine was from a MK2 i would have a look at that and try to fathom out what sender does what first then try again . Its possible you have connected the oil to water etc etc  :dontknow:
