here you go perfect example
the black bit in the back of the gauge.
if not i might get some LEDS bright white 12v ones with wires and try and make them stay in somehow.
any ideas

Well these are the lamps for the Audi VDO dials that i am using!
I work for an electrical wholesaler and spent a whole day finding a lamp company that sold them, after i finally found a company was told that he would only sell me them if i took all 50 off him as they'd been on his shelf for about 5 years. Total cost 42p a lamp!
Lamp details:
12v 1.2w Wedge Base Mini Capless Lamp.
Maplin electronics sell them for ?2 a lamp ( but every time i tried they had none in stock):

Or i found these that are well priced (for retail) (?2.65 for 2 lamps or 10 lamps for ?5.85) and are 100 % correct:

or if you want give me ?1.50 to cover the cost of 3 lamps (thats if you want 3) and a stamp i will stick some in the post for ya!
PM me if you want some!
My car has already had my blood sweat and tears and now is trying to take over my soul!

Well yes i think ill have to PM you when i get out of work and have a chat as i need a few of these.
oh by the way i need the holders more than the bulb.
the fitting shown in the pic.
i do the lamps/bulbs/leds in where i work, we stock all the same sort of things maplins do, as we were out 1st specialising in components for over 25 years so i got all the bits.
except the VDO bits.
i just want it to fit withought worrying having to make holders.
hope you can still help.

sorry
it should do if its a proper VDO part, ive seen them on the net but not clear enough to see letters and numbers.
what timing, feel sorry for you thought, id glue it in to be honest drops of glue then when bulb needed replacing, rip it off, it wont go that many times.
