Using the MFA
My '89 clipper cabrio gti has the MFA but other than cycling thru the Time/MPH/MPG etc using the button on the wiper stalk, I can't find a way to reset the values or even set the clock!
Can anyone help?

On the stalk theres a little slide switch that toggles between current mpg, mph ect and overall mpg, mph.
Slide it to either side and hold it there that will reset one of them, slide ut both ways to reset both.
As regards the time there should be 2 buttons on the clocks, use a pin or something to push them.

the slider switch ain't doin anythin tho. I have a push button on the end and a slider that goes to 1 or 2, doesn't seem to do anything tho.

I think position 1 on the switch is the average since the start of the trip where as position 2 is the lifetime average. On my MK1 it wont show anything for the current average in position 1 until you have driven some distance (2 miles or so) then you have to switch to position 2 then back! My MK1 has MK2 16v clocks and switch gear though so it may be different!

Is it still a MK1?
