Urgent Help! - Wiring
Unfortunaly our Cabby has suffered from bodge it previous owners! After having a problem with a rear fog light (still not fixed) I decided to pull part the dash out and to my disgust I found horrific repair work to parts of the loom which could have resulted in a burnt out car. Thank god I found it now.
Is there anyone in the Teesside area that is available to help me sort out the wiring as im by no means an expert. I can do so much but actually getting things fixed quickly im not. At this moment I have the added pressure that the cars due back for its MOT retest this monday coming. Any help is mutchly appriciated and you will be rewarded.
Regards Richard and Jane

I wish it was that easy! car is booked in for a MOT on monday as this is the latest point I could book it in on the old 10day thing. Im off work tomorrow and monday so hoping I can get something sorted before 12noon on monday and then get it there on the afternoon. Was hoping someone close might have been willing to help.
Thanks for the offer tho.

Probably best to simply run a switch and wire to get your rear fog sorted (if that's the only failed electrical item), then approach the whole wiring renovation with time at your leisure. Also beware, bodges are normally there for a reason! If you remove the bodge, something will probably stop working and you'll need to fix it, hopefully better than the bodge that was there already.

Glad you got it sorted - like I said I don't really think I would have been much help yesterday, plus I was out for "a couple" of drinks on Saturday night so any useful contribution might have been well and truly scuppered!
