temperatur sensor

hi dos any one know where is the outside teperature sensor is as it is showing -40 at all times mk1 cab 88 16v

no, but my wife's corsa has just started showing -33

I think its behind the drivers side headlamp,its a black plastic torpedo shape,it doesnt  bolt on to the engine like other sensors.Hope this helps,sean

it is supposed to be in the rear off the bumper on the drivers side but alot of cars have them floating nr the washer bottle somewhere

must be colder where you are!! Mine is showing -31!!!

Mine is showing -40 too.  This is the lowest it will actually display so points to a faulty sensor.  My mpg display shows 99.9, so I guess this is bad too.  Did anyone actually work out where the temperature sensor is?  Also, how do I fix the mpg issue?  Thanks. :dontknow:
