temp gauge relay location

my temp gauge is not working or is eractic been told it's prob the relay can anyone tell me where on relay board it is and the number stamped on so i can get a relacement. oh it's a 1988 18gti cabrio.

do you mean the temp on the clocks? Don't think there is a relay just for that. Go in to the FAQ for electrics and check out the fuse/relay post

try the sender.  iirc its on the gearbox side of the head.  might just be a bit of corrosion on the terminal.

thanks chaps spoke to rich at crazy quifs he said they do have a relay but did not have any
