Temp gauge not working

Hi

Just got an '88 Clipper and the Temp gauge does not work. Fuel gauge works and fan cuts in correctly.

What can be checked?

Any help would be cool, thanks…..

Locate temp sender as per pic [yellow red wire] is wire attached okay if yes turn on ignition and earth wire to block briefly . Guage should rise if not wire gone disconnected or temp guage faulty . If guage moves replace sender !
