temp gauge help

hi guys i have a gold clipper 1.8 auto and my temp gauge has power cause the little red light flashes but the needle wont move ive try checking switches earth everythink but cant get it to work is there a way i can buy another temp gauge and fit it somewhere in the golf dash board as i dont wanna replace the whole clock any advice would be great cheers gary

find the yellow/red wire to a single pin sensor on fromt/side coolant flange. earth this to block and gauge should shoot to max. if not the wiring is at fault or the clocks themselves.
