Tachometer installation help

i need help installing a tachometer in a vw mk1 golf carb model the tachometer has 4 wires, white black green and red if anyone can help me by telling me these wires must be connected id really appreciate it

is it an oem tachometer, or aftermarket? if aftermarket you need to find some installation instructions for it
