Sparking relay

One of my relays is sparking, sometimes when I accelerate harder or when I'm going over bumps etc.  If I unplug it, nothing seems to stop working so I'm not even sure what it's for!

Any ideas what could be the problem??

What relay is it if you was looking at the fuse box?

It's the bottom right one.

I think it's the hazard lights relay but will check when I get home for you.

That would be really helpful, thanks.  Do you have any idea why it would be sparking?  Is it just a case of buying a new relay or something more serious?

Sorry, I really am a complete novice when it comes to cars!

Just got the book out and the bottom right relay is the flasher relay and it may have the number 21 on it. Take out the relay and it should be a 4 pin relay and where you took it out from the fuse box it will have a number 12 marked on the fuse box…..does this sound right so far :dontknow:

Sparking can be due the bad connection, damp. shorting out :dontknow:
