SEAT engine in golf - advice needed please

Hey everybody

been looking through this forum for days now and im absolutely hooked, is a great place for info but nothing on seat engines!!

im looking to buy this mk1

in the pics it looks like a seat engine and the advert says the engine needs wiring in, im just wondering what kind of a job this would be as im not sure that a seat engine is easily compatible with the wiring loom!!

any suggestions would be helpful as ive never seen this before!

ABF engine from the VW group will have the same wiring [ish] so you should find the wiring a doddle just follow other conversions . Would unless its cheap be better to go for a complete runner , you may find this project expensive to finish , engine don't run etc etc .

this will be my first vw aswell, it just sounds like it needs finishing off but they sound like tricky jobs to do!

There's a reason projects are abandoned…..
