s1 fuse box problem

i have a stray wire at the back of my series one fuse box it looks like its pulled out of one of the larger plugs at the back, its a blue wire with a brown stripe, (horn i think as it doesn't work now)  and it comes down as part of the dash loom, there is another wire the same colour coming out of the fuse box at position A2 which goes off and out with the engine loom i'm pretty sure that that is for the brake light sensor what i need to know is at what position on the back of the fusebox does this wire plug in i.ve looked on that colour website but it only tells me what the wire is and not where it plugs in, any help would be much appreciated

If its horn it'll be a +12v feed from the ignition section to the underneath of the stalks, you could check its continuity with a multimeter (if theres an appropriatly coloured wire at the stalks that is)

I dont have an S1 myself so I can only say what I'd do to work it out =)

Have you checked the back of the fusebox to see if theres a metal connector without a wire in it?

the connection on the end of the wire is cylindrical so whats happenned is its pulled out of one of the larger connection blocks i just need to know which block and at what position so i can just plug it straight back in, i dont want to start plugging it back in willy nilly for fear of burning the fuse box out, for the time being i have ran a switch on a new earth as the 12v feed is still live so i've got the horn working but i really need to know where this chuffin wire goes

Right I wasn't too sure if you had bare wire, or the connector. I'll see what I can find out tonight I've got some old circuits laying around somewhere.

If you have an old manual with circuit diagrams it will tell you somewhere, but its probably something obscure like a reference e2, meaning socket e pin 2.

Anyway…
