reverse lights

can anyone help my reverse lights dont work and just bought new bulbs

Posibly something to do with the switch? on the gearbox. My reverse lights used to stay on all the time, they now have no bulbs in  :dontknow:

You'll need a new switch from GSF, but you'll need to move the wires around slightly on the wiring plug.

This is switch for reversing lights on gearbox, 1st check your fuse, then bulbs etc, then buy one of these and should sort your problem out fella

My cabby lights never worked, according to previous owner he had it for 4 years as wlel and never got them working..

Its not an MOT failiure so i never worried about it, must admit tho it somethimes got funny when trying to reverse in busy areas..  :mrgreen:

as we're on about lights that don't work…
my fog light NEVER works, I got a mechanic to look at it last year as it needed it for the MOT and it worked for a week.

Any ideas?

Bit different to the GTI/MPG type one that is, I didn't think to ask stubager what model/engine he's got.

Check what type you've got stu before you buy one, either type are easy enough to swap.

Just checked, he has a 1.8 carb, so he should be ok with asking for a switch for his model
Part number for switch is 020 945 415A, also ask for 2 pin incase yours is, part numbers 357 972 752 or 000 979 133

just pent about 4 hours locating the wires for this as my wiring is all over the place, got them to work when you touch the wires together but wont work when on the switch. I too will have to order a new switch.
