Rev counter

My rev counter is unresponsive - it is slow and sometimes sticks - any ideas? - cheers

sounds liek its your clocks at fault, if the car dtives ok as the signal for rev counter comes direct from the spark pulse sent to coil from the ignition system

new clocks then?

id say so probably, ideally borrow a set before yuou spend out as sometimes they go for a fair amount. i have a set of early mk1 gti clocks that have pcb damage, if you were close enough it let you try them?  only thing that doesnt work is the outside temp & oil temp on the mfa
