resetting mfa

hi all, im new to this forum got a mk1 cab was originally a driver but now has 1800 gti eng and manual box in it. anyway having browsed thru the site i have noticed lots of talk about the mfa and was wondering if there was any way of resetting the whole thing as i am not sure that mine is reading correctly. any help welcome, thanx, dusty.

the 2 ways you can reset the info is 1 disconnect the battery. and 2 on the clocks themselves there is the stalk which you switch between 1 & 2 gently pull that and hold it for a few seconds.
