Recommendation please

I'm having an absolute nightmare with all the electrics on my Mk 1 Golf Cabriolet (1990 G reg).

Can anyone recommend someone in the Oxfordshire area who might be able to help?  Or maybe a bit further out, if the person was worth it!

God, where do I start! It has been standing for a year and the person looking after it for me tried to sort the problem when it was put into storage but it seems have got worse! I think it needs completely re-doing!

The fuse box is sparking as I'm going along and every time it does, the battery light comes on, this also involved the horn going but I've disconnected that for now. When I brake I can also hear the relays clicking. The fuse box also sparks a bit worse when I indicate.

Can you actually see sparks or does it just sound like something is sparking? If it is just the sound, it is possibly dodgey relays…
Have you had any water leaks around the windscreen area above the fuse box?

If you can see sparks, I would have thought it would have caught fire by now due to something not being wired up right and the wires actually melting…  :dontknow:

It's just the sound.  Re leaks, not that I know of but it has been standing for a year so possibly.
