Rear wiper

My rear Wiper goes the wrong way and does a great job of cleaning the numberplate. This is only since it was removed an replaced. can you evn wire it the wrong way at the rear? or is it at the switch?

Its probably because when the wiper was removed, the arm may have been in the 12 o clock position and then put back on in the 3 o clock position.  Take off the arm and fix it back on with the wiper pointing upwards.
