Rear Speakers

Hi everyone,

I'm new to all this. Have just bit the bullet and bought what has been my dream car for a while - a golf mk1 cab. Ive picked up a 1986 GL cabriolet that is in relatively good nick. I am stoked! It is left hand drive but now UK registered . Think it may be the only one of its kind in the country as GL cabriolets only came out as 1.6's in UK yet mine is a 1.8 (I know this as my insurance had to create a new entry!)

Anyway - I am in the process of sorting a new stereo and was wondering if anyone knew what size I can get in the rear panels? (not the parcel shelf but the panels where the window winder is) as I have been told and advised conflicting things so far (4x6's, 4'' or 5'')

Any help would be great!

Cheers

Max

Hi Max,

Welcome!!

If your Cabby is 1986, the back ones are probably 3.5" ones on a metal plate mounting.

When I pulled mine out, the paper cones were all disintigrated and flapped around!

I got these for my one and are direct replacements.

Features Speakers Speaker System: 2-way-coaxial Diameter (mm):

And Remember, Big Smile!!  Biiiig Smile!!!
