Rear lights on cabrio 90 reg

I brought some new rear lights from E38 a couple of years ago of a german company there, and ever since they have been fitted they keep letting in water, put sealant between the light and seal and also between the seal and car but still water is getting in, anyone have any ideas how to stop this? or any good makes of lights so this stops happening???
