Rear light conversion.. Wiring help!

Im thinking of converting the rear big lights on my S2 to the early small S1 lights. i need some help figuring out the wiring. do i just split the old plug and following maybe a diagram and re connet crimped connections? Does anyone have a diagram? Has anyone done this?

the older lights have spades on, so its a case of chop the old plugs off and crimp spades on. they dont have fog lights either so u need a cabrio rear fog lamp and bracket. on my cab i just put an uber bright red bulb in the driver side reverse lamp socket, or you could get early mk1/postie rear lam unit which has red lenses instead of white.

you will also need to weld in a new rear panel or repair bits as the rear is totally different around the lights. cant really ust patch the hole as it will look odd

if you look at the clusters it should become clear, the spades will go to each light. besides, whats the worst that will happen? press the brake and the side lights or indicators come on? just swap till they work
