rear fog light

1990 1.8 clipper

My fog light dont work, checked the bulb and earth, there is also live feeds to fog switch, also what is the reason for 2 positions on switch.

any ideas welcome

the 2 position switch is for front and rear fogs, although very few mk1`s ever had fronts 8O  you need to trace the wireing back and check it with a voltmeter or test lamp make sure its getting constant feed, its probably the switch or an earth though

I had a similar problem last year for my MOT, it was the only thing it failed on the mechanic said there was feed to switch but nothing came on at the rear.
Dont know if this applies but on mine there was an extra fuse on top of the fuse box, had to get right under to see it pulled it out and it had blown. Changed that fuse and hey presto it worked.
Dont know if it will be same for you but I was ready to re-wire it until I found that. Hope it helps…
