Radio Aerial

Currently fitting an early eighties Hamburg unit.  I have all power/earth and speaker wires installed. But was wondering which route the aerial cable should follow from the wing to the back of the stereo unit?.

It looks like this car has never had a radio fitted before.  Although the exhaust plays a good chune it is howerever a touch repetitive :) , so I thought I would go down the route of what would have been the original radio.

Cheers

glen, i plumbed a new ariel into mine, the hole was located near the fuse box at the bottom of the bulk head, had a little grommet on there to keep the water out.

Cheers for the super quick response!

Does it actually need to pass through the inner wing or does it go under it?

Hi
I jusy fitted an old radio/cassette palyer. I mounted the arial on the wing and had to drill a small whole for it. The cable then goes through a hole in the inner wing that has a gromit on it. It feeds into engine bay into other hole with gromit already mentioned. You can push it through and see the cable come out behind the fuse box. It snakes up behind the ashtray into radio.
CAUTION. I tugged mine (ooh er mrs)and it snapped. The cable was short. It  actually split in two. I got a new one though
hope that helps.
