Outside air temp sensor - where located?

All,
Just got cat back from garage after new wing fitted - noticed two wires with a 'pod' (looks like a small cigar shaped thing) hanging down on drivers side behind headlight - think it's the outside temp sensor - where should I stick it (clean answers please!!)

Mounted in a little bracket inside the front bumper on the drivers side

I think I've got the same problem, has this thing got one red/white and one blue/white wire attached?  Mine looks more like an actual plug that should go into a socket (one long protruding bit in the middle surrounded by four plastic lugs).  God I hate anything electrical, it scares the living daylights out of me.
