Oil warning and the buzzer!!!Going Nuts with it!!!

Hello to all!
I got a vw cabrio 1.8 98psi year 1992 motor type 2H

I got a problem with the world famous oil allarm Buzzer…
I've try all the test like suggested on various posts…
I've checked the wires,I have changed the hi and low sensors, tried the oil pressure(the entire motor was completely re-built up 4 month ago..)

But it still come on.
(Usually it will buzz when I'm aroud 2000-2500rpm but sometimes happens sometimes no if Yes it can stop when it wants it's really a mess if If I turn on the lights the buzzer will buzz a little bit smooth than other times)

…So I've put on earth the yellow wire, and the blue/black isn't connected (right now on the internal clock seems that the buzzer doesn't come on but the red light is still on in intermittence like it should be…).
Is it possible to defeating them just for a while untill I get the solution?

I think it's an internal clock dashboard problem..but mine electrician have controlled it and no circuit seems broken or damaged…Maybe some component it's gone out of value???

Someone can help me please???I'm gonna be Mad about it!!
Will be fine any suggestion, information or spare parts for the dash board or where find it(I know on ebay there are a lot of tacho on sale…but if they got the same problem?!!)…

Thank you to all
I always learn something when I come on this website.

Cheers from Italy.
(sorry 4 the bad english)

have you got the right sensors in the right place? the high pressure sensor should be white and is in the filter housing, ow pressure is brown or blue and is in the side of the head.  but dont go by colour alone if aftermarket! check the pressure rating too. high pressure should be 1.8bar, low 0.3 or 0.4bar.

check the earths to the head, there is a brown/white for the dash here and the later cars add a braided earth from head to coil mounting bracket which is worth fitting if you dont have.

check the earth at the dash too, make sure the brown/white wire to the clocks has good continuity to ground. if in doubt, splice a fresh earth direct to the chassis.

can you get another set of clocks to try?

Yes,i checked both of the 2 sensors when i have buy them at the vw garage of my town. white color for the one on the filter flange and blue for the one on the block……I also checked with the owner the right code…!

sometimes when it start buzzing if turn on the Wipers it stop

Today I will check the earths…but unfortunately i don't have a set of clocks for try if it's the dash board…

Tank you so much 4 tour answer

that aint right, points more to wiring fault than dash problem. make sure the dash has a good earth, check behind the fusebox where the main battery earth comes thru as well since the main fusebox earth goes into this. look at the earth claw too maybe add a fresh earth from there to chassis near fusebox. should be a handy stud on the a pillar

Hey!
Checked all the earth wires from the motor and they Are ok…I have also checked the earth near the fuse box and i have dismounted it…seems all ok… :banghead:

Right Now I just leave disconnected the blue oil sensor on the side of the head…and I have no blinking led or buzzer that come on…I try to make some km and I will watch what happens…I think that it will be' a good idea if I'll buy a pair of VDO gauges…and than I'll disconnect all the damned sensors…

I'm sorry for the delay of my answers but I can do these test only on the week-end…In the rest of the week i work tilt late

Thanks
