oil pressure gauge

car came with 3 vdo gauges. clock, volts and oil pressure. figure other 2 out but do i use the standard oil pressure switch to take the reading off as below?



if not where? the only other one i can see is the one on the oil pump.

the gauges are out of a porsche 924 but are vdo would this make a difference?

You can;t use the standard pressure swith, you'll need a VDO sender unit matched to the gauge (ever 5 or 10 bar sender dependant on the gauge).
If u can get the twin sender unit which u can then use to replace the top switch (the one in the pircture) as this wil lthen do both the gauge and the pressure swtich for the oil light / buzzer in the car.

the twin units are something like ?40 to buy  :wink:
