Oil light on..ish

My oil light is just on and no more.  You can only really see it at night because its at faint.

Is this a sensor problem?  A dash/bulb problem or is it a serious problem waiting to happen.

I did a full oil change and refilled the oil and the light is still faint.

You need to eliminate earth problems/back feeding.

It is imperative that you check the oil pressure using a gauge too.

if you can only see it at night does it go off when you dim the dash lights?

Racer.   No.  It stays on.

Skip….  I think you may be on to something there. I will check earths
