OIL BUZZER (TRIED EVERYTHING) ANY IDEAS?
My oil buzzer light has started to come on. (ive got a sportline)
Ive searched the forum and followed the helpful advice.
ive changed low pressure switch (side of head)
ive changed high pressure switch (near oil filter housing)
ive changed mfa temperature sensor (near oil filter housing)
ive changed spades and wires!
but after all this it still comes on (drving me mad now)
i know its not the clocks because when the buzzer and light starts to flash, i pull spade off high pressure switch and the buzzer and light go off)
i thought it might be a dodgy new high pressure switch, so i replaced it but still no joy.
any ideas?

Its the clocks, bud.
The sensor (@1.8bar) will sense low pressure when the engine is less than 2k revs. What the little board inside the clocks does is ignore it until it hits 2k (or is supposed to do) what you've done is remove the trigger completly, you need the little board thats in the clocks.
Theres plenty of info on how it exactly works, you need to look round a bit more.

cheers for reply
the oil light and buzzer come on after 2k revs.
i took the spade of the high pressure switch not the low.
sometimes i drive for a couple of days and dont get a thing.
if it is the clocks, is it a nightmare job?

The 'high pressure' switch comes on when the pressure is below 1.8 bar AND the revs are greater than 2k. Put another way it detects if the pressure drops below 1.8 bar, the other sensor detects wether it drops below 0.2 bar (and if that comes on correctly your screwed anyway).
Regardless……..
The small board is in the top right of the clock with the front facing down and has 10ish pins in it. Its not especially difficult to remove but you have to be careful with the pins, also in reconnecting them, also be careful with the printed circuit itself.
The only other possibility is that its doing what its supposed to do, and you could be running out of oil pressure for whatever reason (but unlikely).
If you get a new board and it works as it should then send me the old one as I'm looking to find out which component it is that breaks down =)
