No stereo as standard = no music.
I have a CL with no stereo or speakers or wiring. I want to keep it standard so don't want a headunit yet I want quality sound. My idea is to fit 6x4 in the rear parcel shelf supports and put two others up front somewhere and have a sneaky audio jack to plug into mp3 player/ipod.
1. where could I put speakers in the front? Under the dash?
2. How could I have powered speakers with an aux jack and no headunit?
3. any recomendations on speakers?
I basically want this to not affect the looks of my interior.

i expect theres some device on the market that could do this, personaly i would make some little box up tastefully like sub boxes are, so you can fit a normal stero in it which you then locate in the boot which is hide like you wont it to be then run a 5m jack(get a 5m lead because then you make it shorter if required 3m might be to short by the time its run threw the car) lead threw the car into the drivers door making a neat little hole behind the door pocket, put the jack lead threw and plug the ipod in here, this way only you the driver can play around the music etc, or the other way would be to bring it into the glove box and keep enough lenght so it can be held in hand when driving

you can buy small amps on ebay to do this, they're often sold as motorcycle/scooter equipment. They have an aux in and can be mounted neatly out of the way.
To be honest I would only put 6x4's in the back, as to put speakers in the front will defeat the object of not fitting a stereo, i.e originality. You could hide them under the dash but they'd sound muffled and dull.

Just use a 4 channel amp and take the aux out from the MP3 player to the line in. Use a Y adapter for the other 2 channels.
